LandShark Tank Pitch Competition

Students compete for $500 in prize money with two-minute business idea pitches to the audience, which votes for the best pitch. Video results help students improve.

Gillespie Business Plan Competition

Student teams develop business plans and compete for over $15,000 in cash and in-kind services. The competition is held every spring semester and open to any student or student team at Ole Miss.

Rebel Venture Capital Fund

Open to any student at Ole Miss, the Entrepreneurship Club meet monthly with guest speakers and workshops that focus on various entrepreneurship topics. The club has over 100 participants.

Entrepreneurship Club

The Ole Miss Entrepreneurship Club is a student organization focusing on promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship across campus.

REDe Summit

The goal for the REDe Summit is to inspire students with varied academic backgrounds, such as in the arts, engineering, pharmacy, or business, to engage in entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship Major

The entrepreneurship major is designed to teach and promote: opportunity recognition, opportunity assessment, risk management & mitigation, conveying a compelling vision, tenacity & perseverance, creative problem solving, resource leveraging, guerrilla skills, value creation, maintain focus yet adapt, resilience, self-efficacy, and building networks.

Entrepreneurship Minor

Business school majors can easily complete a minor in entrepreneurship by taking 3 of 5 specially designed courses.

Entrepreneurship Speaker Series

Each semester leading entrepreneurs from the region and state visit the Ole Miss campus to share their experiences and perspectives with students.

Fall Business Model Competition

In the Fall semester, the CIE hosts a business model competition following the guidelines of the International Business Model Competition.  This is a lower burden way to craft a business idea. It focuses on talking to customers and rapidly iterating through variations of your solution to get to something customers want quickly.

International Business Model Competition Regionals

During a one-day event, colleges and universities from around the mid-south are invited to have their best student teams present their business model.

Farrington Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year

Every year the business school selects one business or entrepreneur to recognize as the Farrington Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year.  The winners are nominated by the community and selected by the Dean of the School of Business Administration.
